FAQ

How to install the Botlens skill
Find tools via the Botlens API

Can a tool pick Grok Bot skills for me?

Yes. Botlens is a free catalog of Grok Bot bots, templates and skills that shows each listing's safety status, and it ships a Grok Bot skill that picks them for you. Describe your task and the skill searches the catalog, skips listings flagged Risky, ranks matches by fit and safety, and asks before installing anything. You don't have to test bots by hand.

How does Botlens decide what's safe?

Botlens reads each listing's instructions, and its code when that's public, and looks for known warning signs. Each listing then gets one of three labels: Safe means nothing obvious was found, Caution means you should review it first, and Unscanned means we couldn't read enough to judge. Risky listings are hidden. The labels are a helpful signal, not a guarantee.

Does it cost anything?

No. Browsing the catalog is free and needs no account. The skill is open source under the MIT license, and the API is plain JSON with no key.

How do I install the skill?

Paste this into your Grok Bot: "Install the skill from https://github.com/CambIAIA/Botlens/tree/main/skill/botlens". Your bot asks you to confirm before it installs anything.

How we check

We read each listing's public instructions and code. We scan for risky patterns like credential access, hidden uploads or shell commands. We give it a badge: Safe, Caution or Unscanned. Risky listings are hidden. Badges are checks, not guarantees.
